What’s in the sandbox?
Children love to play in sandboxes and in the dirt. Is it safe or can kids be exposed to your pet’s parasites? Kids are very vulnerable to parasites. Unfortunately young children tend to put their hands in their mouth just before you get a chance to wash them.

Heartworm Disease
Heartworm disease is a common but somewhat unfamiliar condition. Heartworms are transmitted by mosquitoes feeding on infected animals and then biting another pet. Heartworm disease can affect both cats and dogs, even when they live indoors.
